The assignments made me consider aspects of my teaching I had perhaps not considered in depth before.
The course material was easy to understand and helpful although I would advise future learners to run through all material before commencing assignments and read the details of what the question is asking as there are some that are similar but have subtle differences.
The feedback given was constructive and often highlighted good aspects of my work but then expand on areas that could do with more depth.
The support was It was fine, when I needed resources/templates Stephanie was very quick to provide support. Support from the tutor was also readily available when I needed it.
The course found the right blend of providing support/resources when needed but also the autonomy of getting on with the assignments and teaching practice, exploring additional learning resources/research in the sector and got me thinking very much about the application to my own context.

  2. Ed Topham Clark – L5 DET

Overall, I was happy with the support provided by my tutor especially in terms of the feedback provided on my assignments. This was specific and where I had referred any unit the feedback was clear in terms of the work required to pass. This enabled me to achieve the standard with the next submission. Emily also provided support at the start of the course to help me understand Havard referencing as I had never used this before.
The platform was straightforward in terms of logging assignments and receiving the feedback. In terms of potential improvements that could be made, I feel there could have been better resources provided on the online platform and either live or recorded webinars to help me understand the content better. This could be why my progress was slow at the start. In addition, marking was a little slow at the end of the course with my final assignments. Overall though I am happy with the service I received and am grateful to everyone in supporting me to achieve the qualification.

I found Teacher Assist online after searching for Level 5 teaching qualifications for my professional development. I decided to use them as they were a very affordable option for me with flexible payment options and had good reviews from other students.
I found my experience with Teacher Assist to be wholly positive. There was a good line of communication between the tutors assigned to me and the other staff whenever they needed me to provide evidence or otherwise ask me questions.
When you write up assignments, the tutors provide detailed feedback on how you have either met the criteria or need to improve in certain areas to successfully do so which was very helpful!
I would definitely recommend Teacher Assist to other professionals looking to get into teaching without hesitation.
